Energy needs around the world are changing. Renewable energy sources are abundant on our planet and the target is to extract energy from them.

GM Renovables are taking part in this development because wants to protect the environment, and so it is developing the (J+B) 2B wave energy generation system.

This type of energy source is the key to a sustainable energy mix, helping to reduce dependence on imports (in 2006 the EU imported 53.8% of the consumed energy while in Spain rose to 81.4 %), and to reduce CO2 emissions. Other benefits would be job creation, regional development and new technologies.

Lastly, the agreement "triple 20" signed by all Member States and European Parliament Directive on December 2008, setting: <<a 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, a 20% improvement in energy efficiency and a 20% share for renewables in the EU energy mix>>.
